A little escape

Two hours drive out of Athens lies this beautiful artificial lake in Feneos, Korinth. The church was constructed there to commemorate the former position of a monastery which was forced to move upper in the mountain when the waters raised.
See the place in Wikimapia (you can zoom out to see where exactly in Greece it is)

That is a very nice looking photography and could appear on calendars or in advertisements about traveling.

But is this white on the road snow or what?
The view is fantastic and after few weeks also green, I suppose.

It isn´t snow. It´s just a dirt road.

This is really a lovely place to visit. My mother comes from a village near Feneos and the place there is breathtaking. I actually have a similar picture as a backround to my computer and I was really glad that someone else thought of doing the same.
If you can visit the place please do! It's wonderful!
