A King's yard
These stairs lead to the room where the King's office used to be. Many photos in Greek magazines featuring "family" moments of the royals in the 50's and '60s had the family sitting on them. (See also previous posts)
Ovelikios, is there any reason why the building remains unused? Couldn't they convert it into a state building or even make it a home for the impoverished or something? It seems like such a waste of a lovely state to have it remain abandoned. C
Mamasan, see previous posts comments (the swimming pool). The estate was until recently under legal fight between Greece and the former King. Now it´s finally state property.
Tog, more pictures to follow
Annie, this was built to be the summer palace and King George I wanted it to be modest. Greece was a very poor country back in 1870.

I really enjoy seeing your thread play out. No one picture would give me a sense of this building. Thank you!
I can imagine living in this house. It's not too ostentatious even though it served royalty.
Thanks for your comments.
