Now and then


Behind the construction equipment of the new Acropolis museum, lies this building that used to be the first military hospital in Athens, erected in 1834. 

Some artist depicted it while it was brand new.

it is always amazing to see how new looks compared to old... gives one a feeling of history, I guess...

And where have all the camels gone? I cannot remember seeing any last time in Athens...

I, too, enjoy seeing "then" and "now" views. Don't you wonder what the people who built the old buildings would think if they saw them today?
