In Sintagma square, just opposite the Parliament, the flying skaters are practicing their magic tricks.
No skater was hurt during this shooting :-)

These are great captures!
How many bystanders were hurt so far? I've seen one runaway skateboard hit a bystanders ankle, and there must be more.
You've got some great captures there. In Singapore, skateboarders are mostly rebels or school dropouts. It's so clinically clean here that activities such as street dancing and skateboarding are seen as weird (especially by the older geeneration).

Thanks for your comments.
Betabug, that particular day noone was hurt. But one has to be very careful indeed.
Photolicious, I 've visited Singapore and I do remember the "clinicaly clean" situation there.
Got no problem with the skaters. But what's with all the tagging on the steps? I know tagging is rife in Athens but to have it on the steps of the city's main square and in front of Parliament is pretty poor form. I don't know any other European capital that would put up with it in such a prominent location.

Skateboarding is big in certain places in the US, too. You did a good job capturing these kids at their "sport." If I remember correctly, next weekend, Nashville is hosting a big skateboarding competition. . . .Skateboarders who do well there can qualify for a world competition or something.. . .
Nice photos! :-)
