Karaiskaki Stadium and Karaiskakis himself
Remember this post about Karaiskaki stadium, home field of Olympiacos FC? Here is the man who the stadium is named after. He is a hero of the Greek 1821 Revolution. Read more about him The stadium is built exactly on the site of a crucial battle, in which Karaiskakis died. The only fight today there is by the hooligans (yes, we have many of them).
Wow I had no idea that's where Karaiskakis was killed! I guess it's kind of hard to imagine Faliro as a place of a battlefield. At least in the sense of a revolutionary battlefield since as you mentioned the hooligans have taken over.
